my weekend

This weekend for me wasn't so busy. First I went to get new soccer cleats, a new basketball and guitar strings. After that my friend came over for a couple of hours, we just hung out. On Sunday I had Hebrew school in the morning. After Hebrew school i didn't do anything until three o' clock. At my synagogue ( a Jewish Church type of thing) there was a talent show and I was participating in it. I was playing guitar with the friend I hung out with on Saturday. There were some other good acts like bands, singing, drums, magic, but mostly music.

For our field trip I think we should go bowling, splashdown which is a water park or Watermania which is a pool.

Toy fair

For science our class had to make an electronic toy and at the end of the project we had a toy fair. Everyone in our class made posterboards and decorated around their area and it weas really cool. Another class also did it and I really liked theirs. Some of the projects from our class were, a boat king kong climbing up the empire state building, a car that drops off toilet paper, a house that lights up. My buddy's and mine was a banana man. His eyes lit up and his arms span around. We were going to put a recorder in it and play music but it didn't work. At the end of the toy fair our toy came in third place, the booat and second, and king kong came first. What electronic toy would you like to make?

My weekend

On my weekend I didn't really do much. On Saturday I went to see Monsters vs Aliens. Some may have thought it was for little kids but it is actually pretty funny. My favourite character was Insectosaurus. He was a 350 foot tall bug. After the movie on of my friends came over for a sleepover. We watched a movie called School of Rock. It had Jack Black in it and he is like the coolest guy ever. He plays a guy that was in a band but then got kicked out so he pretends to be a substitute teacher and make a band with his classmates. Well you have to see the movie it is hilarious. The next morning me and my friend went to Hebrew school together. Not much happens there. We just learn ('_'). Nothing else happened that day except for me chilling the rest of the day. Oh I forgot that I had my season end of soccer party. All we did was play ball tag, tag and manhunt, and ate. After the party I went home and watched the Juno's. I was amazed that Nickel back won two Juno's. I must admit that they are a good band. What did you do on your weekend? =)

I am a Light Cycle. I drive fast, I turn fast, I do everything fast. I even breakfast. I tend to confuse people with my sudden changes of heart. Sometimes I even confuse myself, which tends to cause problems. What Video Game Character Are You?

Sustainability

The B.C Lions came to our school and they say that sustainability is being able to keep your environment strong and take care of it. So this means that to have sustainability we must take care of our environment and make sure it stays nice for a long, long, long, long, long time which is pretty much forever.3 things I learned during the workshop was 1 Our lungs have the most amount of water in our bodies.2We learned about PRO, which stands for Pride, Respect and One play at a time. Pride means you do something without even being told to. Respect means you respect everything like the environment and other people. One play at a time means you fix things or do things one thing at a time and not do everything in one go.3 In about 2020, there will only be 1/3 of clean water left in the world. So we have to really think about how much water we use.Three things I can do to make a difference are 1 Use less hot water 2 Turn off lights more to conserve more energy 3 Use environmentally smart washing machine powder.

Law Courts

A few days ago I went to the Vancouver Law Courts. Something I learned there was that your criminal record of when you disobey the law stays with you your whole life, but it's normal for people to change friends every 7 years. Another thing I learned is that there is a sheriff sitting inside the court room in case something goes wrong. Also I had no idea that the seats in the court room they used cushioned seats to sit on not wooden benches. One of the court cases I watched was a kidnapping. An Asian gang had kidnapped someone and the witness kept saying she had no idea what they were talking about. The other one I watched was something to do with motorcycles, but I didn't know what happened because when I got there it ended. The differences from a real court case and the ones on T.V are 1. In a real court case they have cushioned seats and in one on T.V it's wooden benches. 2. In a real court room the judges don't wear anything on their head and on T.V they sometimes wear white wigs. 3.In a real court room there is bullet proof glass to protect the victim and on T.V there's none. 4. A real court room only holds about 10 to 30 people average and on T.V it looks like it holds at least 60 people. 5. In a real court room the judge doesn't talk so much and on T.V the judge is yelling all the time. I thought the court house was okay. The court cases were pretty boring but some of the things we learned were pretty cool. Would you ever like t go to a Court House?

Being Famous

If I could be famous for anything it would be just being myself. If I was famous for being myself, I could get money for ddoing what I normally do everyday. I would have to be trained or anything. I think it would be pretty cool to famous for anything, but I think my choice is the best of them all =). What would yo like to be famous for.

My Candy Creation

If i could create any candy it wold be called Sparkhogs. It would be a candy that is shaped like a pig that has chocolate on the outside and under the chocolate is a really cool taste that zaps your outh and makes it all tingly. It can come in Blue Rasberry, Strawberry, Grape or lemon. Milk chocolate on the outside, hard candy and spark rocks on the inside. I think it would be good to make because it's a mixture of soothing and surprising taste. People would by it becuase then they won't have to by a chocolate and a candy. If you could create a candy what would it be.

My Famous Friend

A famous person I would like to meet is Russel Peters. I want to meet him because he is HILARIOUS. He makes such good jokes and from his jokes I can entertain my friends with them and it's really cool. He makes good me laugh so hard and I would probably be one of the funniest guys in the school and maybe a bit more popular. He's also probably one of my most favourite comedians. Who is someone that you would like to meet that is famous?

My Winter holiday

For my winter holiday I didn't celebrate Christmas, I celebrated Hannukah. Hannukah is really cool because there are eight days of it which means eight days of presents. I got almost 150 dollars for Hannukah and I got an Ill Scarlet CD. Another thing I did on my winter holiday is I saw my friends because when I had school I couldn't really see my friends because after school I was always busy so I wasn't able to hang ot with my friends or relax that much or anything like that. I had a couple sleepovers, I went to people for dinner, the only thing I was mad about was I was supposed to go to a friends house for New Years but he was sick so I had to stay home. What did you do over your winter break and what holiday do you celebrate?

SNOW

What I like to do in the snow is I usually like to invite friends over and go tobogganing or make snowball fight with them. Usually for tobogganing I go to places with big hills or I go to the dyke. For snowball fight there is a really good field near where I live and it is really good for a big area snowball fight. The only thing is I don't really like the snow because it is so cold. What do you do when snow or do you even have snow?

Making new friends

On December 3d I went to Merry King preschool. When I got there I met my new buddy. He is so cool. His name is Markus and he's 3 years old. What we did was me made Christmas decorations. I made a snowflake and my buddy made a snowflake falling down a mountain. After that we went to play with the toys they had in their classroom. Then one of my friends and I read a book to the whole class. When the book was done we went outside to play soccer and my buddy went crazy. He even tackled one of my friends. Do you have any buddies at your school or any friends a lot younger than you?

My trip to the Japanese Consulate

I went to the Japanese Consulate the other day and it was pretty cool. When I got there I looked at all the cool food that the Japanese people eat. There were noodles, fish, sushi, soy sauce and more. On the other side of the room there were a bunch of Yukatas and Kimonos. To start off we played these big things called Kotos that had 13 strings and were kind of like a guitar, but a lot bigger. We learned how to play Marry had a Little Lamb. After that we put on the Kimonos and Yukatas and then learned how to a dance called the Coal Miners Dance. It's very simple. You pretend you have a shovel and dig twice to the right twice to the left, once over each shoulder, look for the moon once on each side, push the cart twice, slide then clap twice. It's very simple, don't you think? Have you ever learned about Japan? Have you ever played or seen a Koto? Have you ever worn a Yukata or Kimono?

my weekend

On my weekend I went to a habonim camp. A habonim camp is a Jewish camp. Not only Jewish people can go to it but it is mostly Jewish people. The camp is on Gabriola island. What I went to is called seminar which isn't the actual camp it's just to get a taste of the real camp. The real camp is in the summer and it's three weeks long seminar is only one weekend. At seminar you don't really do anything, you pretty much just hang out except for some activities, skits and the meals. I played lots of soccer there. The people there are nice, weird, boring, are completely crazy and some get really mad. I thought it was pretty fun and I'm going in the summer.

WHAT A WEEKEND!

On my weekend I went trick or treating for halloween. I wnt in my complex and got lots of candy. I went with ffour other friends and my friends brother and his friend. We got lots of candy. Some of my friends had to leave early to go do other things. Wha did you do for Halloween? On Saturday I was out the whole day. First I had to go to soccer then I went to my cousin's soccer game. My team won our game and so did his. After that we went to A restaurant called Inigma for lunch. The food took forever to cook but it was worth it. After that we went for a walk then we went to some peoples for dinner. On Sunday first I went to hebrew school which is a school I go to to learn hebrew. Afterwards I went to my friends house tthen his hockey game then his birthday party/ How was your weekend because mine was exhausting?

Halloween

Halloween is when you go around to different houses asking people for candy by saying "Trick or Treat", or sometimes people have parties. What I usually do is I go trick or treat with my friends in my complex. Oh, we also dress uup on halloween as crazy things. Clowns, aliens, skeletons anything like that, maybe even a boy as a girl. I went to a halloween party once and it was pretty fun I think, I can't remember it. Usually at school there are halloween parties or dances. Those are fun too.What do you do at your school for halloween and what do you do on halloween night?

A day at school

This is my typical day at school. Every day we have math and sometimes it is with Mrs. Kay, but most of the time it's with Mrs. Wang. Monday and Wednesday we have computers, Monday and Thursday we have band, Tuesday and Thursday is P.E, Monday, Wednesday and Friday is literature circles and there's more subjects like socials and science. Math is like decimals and problem solving so yeah. Everything else is pretty much what you would usually learn. During recess and lunch right now I am always playing four square. In four square there are four squares and you have to get the other people out by bouncing it twice in there square or it bounces in there square then outside of it. Being in Mrs. Wangs class is fine with me like we get to choose what we do pretty much so yeah that is pretty much it.

Britannia Mines

All of my class went to the Britannia Mines except me because it was a Jewish holiday and I am a Jew. It was Yom Kippur. It was boring except I got to see my other Jewish friends and that was fun. Yom Kippur is when we forgive peoples for things they did to us and they forgive us. We have to go to a synagogue (which is like a Jewish church) where we have to pray all day and anyone over the age of thirteen has to fast which means they don't eat or drink.

In my mailbox

One thing I would like to see in my mailbox is a real letter saying that I won a trip to Hawaii. I have just always wanted to go to a tropical area like Hawaii. Another thing I want to find in my mailbox is another letter saying that I won a cheque of thirty three million dollars out of random out of all the people in North America. The last thing I want to find in my mailbox is a scholarship letting me go to a game design university so I can do game design and programming.

Something I've always wondered about

I have always wondered how the person who made up words thought of them. I wonder this because sometimes I think when I say they the word pickle, why can't a pickle be called a banana or a thick stick. Sometimes I just say a word I think the word could be called something else.

My year so far

My year so far...hmmm...it's good. I've got a really nice teacher. She lets us watch movie every other friday! I think this school is pretty good I mean it's my second year at this school but I've made some friends so it's pretty cool. Yeah in class we've done an olympic project, blogs...of course...and in gym we're playing handball and I play saxophone in band so yeah that's my year.

I like video games, soccer, football, guitar and I am starting to do game design and game progamming.
